| Retrieves the code length in bits (only for |
| :ref:`LIRC_MODE_LIRCCODE <lirc-mode-lirccode>`). |
| Reads on the device must be done in blocks matching the bit count. |
| The bit could should be rounded up so that it matches full bytes. |
